Capo d'Orlando - City

Capo d’Orlando town’s, on the Tyrrhenian sea, is positioned between Messina’s city  (80 km) and Palermo.
For a long time already the town represents a very strong touristic destination above all for the extraordinary beauty of landscape, the sea limpid and warm and the hospitality. The landscaped show that the town offers is charming and of unquestionable beauty with the mar Tyrrhenian to tightened contact with the lived one, the Aeolian Islands of forehead, the characteristic mount of the Virgin Mary and the charming bay of San Gregorio.
On The top of Virgin Mary’s mount,there is a characteristic and historical Church with ancient ruin of Orlando’s Castle.
At the little church there are many pilgrimages especially for the annual recourrence of 22 October.

Another Vrgin Mary’s festivity is 15 August of every year. In that occasion the Virgin is transported in procession on the boats which parade between the “Andrea Doria” seafront and the Sant Gregorio’s bay.
Every year there are many that accompany the Madonna in sea, recall the evocative passage of the caracteristic parade that crosses all the coast on the beautiful sunset of half August. The city is characterized from a long and splendid free beach near populated area one and that offers the choice between the fabulous rocks of San Gregorio lido’s and fascinating linearity of the Andrea Doria seafront. In particular the San Gregorio’s bay is one of the more evocative places of the city. This last one covers one particular beauty in consideration, above all, of the presence of reefs placed to the slopes of the rocky cost of the Mount of the V.M.. The overflowing beauty of the bay of Saint Gregorio can, above all, be admired from the Scafa’s zone or the Mount of the V.M.
Scafa is one of the localities more panoramic than Capo d’Orlando from where all can be noticed the zone of Saint Gregorio comprised between the port (with the contiguous and beautifulst Bagnoli house) and the Mount of the V.M.
